Razor blades and disposals

So, I had a bad dream last night. I dreamt that not only did KrisDi and I had a kid, but it was small enough that it went down the drain in the sink, and I couldn’t get it out. I don’t remember for sure if the disposal was on or not, but if it wasn’t, it was about to be turned on. I also recently remembered part of a disturbing dream I had some time ago: jamming razor blades between my teeth. *shiver*

I got back from a trip with my boss on Saturday. On Friday night, I got totally drunk with my boss (well, I got drunk and my boss was there — he only had two beers). The other guy I was traveling with was drinking, too. Which was fun. I got back to the hotel, and figured I should take the time to sober up before going to bed so I wasn’t hung over the next day. So, I decided to play Baldur’s Gate (which I recently purchased at a Fry’s and have been re-obsessed with since), and then realized I should pack for my flight when my alarm went off at 4:45 AM and I was still playing.

The trip itself was no fun, either. Everyone thinks I’m young. My boss’s boss’s boss thinks I look to young to drink. So did all the servers at all the restaurants we visited. I got up to begin one of my presentations (totalling about an hour and fifteen minutes when the three were added together), and (according to my boss), he leaned over to my boss and said, “Is he even old enough to drink?” Apparently meetings and presentations (two things to which I am unaccustomed) make me smarter, though. I finished Tuesday through Friday’s Sudokus and crossword puzzles without a major problem (except I got one letter wrong on Wednesday’s crossword).

Andi just showed me the fat guy singing a Romanian pop song on the internet. It was funny. But I couldn’t take it the third time around. I’ve been overloaded.

Tomorrow KrisDi and I are going up to visit Mom. It’s going to be fun. Or at least relaxing. I’ll have fun either way. KrisDi might get a bit bored, which is unfortunate. But she’ll like Ma’s dog Blue.

Anyway, I can’t think of any pictures to upload. Later I’ll talk about the book I read (first book in the Earthsea series, A Wizard of Earthsea). But not right now. I’m going to go drink more beer and think about the lovely dinner I’m about to eat.

Magic Forest

I was with people, but I don’t remember who. I also don’t remember where we were. We decided to go exploring, and shortly we were out in the middle of a big, cool forest. We found a valley with something resembling a low fog covering it, and somehow learned that it was actually a magic forest, only all the magic was trapped up in the fog covering the valley. Turns out it was easy enough to fix; scratch holes in the invisible layer holding the magic fog up and let it flow down into the valley floor, where it would somehow seep into the rest of the forest, making it a magic forest again. So we scratched the holes (using a pretty pathetic scratching motion right above our heads), and started to wait for a few hours for the magic to seep in. But I woke up before I could find out what happened.

In the Navy

So, in this dream, I was riding the USS San Antonio. For some reason, a Spanish Navy ship was alongside us, and the two captains were arguing with each other over something. Somehow, we ended up with one of the Spanish sailors (apparently an officer or something) on our ship, and somehow he ended up hanging by a rope from our ship. We didn’t want the Spanish ship to see this, of course, so we dropped him into the water. At this point, we realized the Spanish Navy was going to be pretty pissed off, and we sped off (apparently USS San Antonio is a damn fast ship in my dream), leaving the Spanish ship in our wake, shaking their fists at us and threatening something along the lines of, “We’ll get you sooner or later!” Anyway, we were speeding off into the middle of the ocean and we didn’t have very much fuel, so we were pretty sure we’d get caught sooner or later, without their helpful reminder, but we were hoping we’d be found by the US Navy.

Earthquake!

Just as I was falling asleep last night, I dreamt I was in KrisDi’s old apartment with all of her stuff moved out, standing around with someone. I don’t know who it was. But anyway, we were talking, and then the whole building began to shake, and then it began to topple over sideway. I said something along the lines of “That’s not very good,” and looked around wondering where the safest place in the apartment was. Then I woke up, very nervous, thinking my house was falling over.

Quickly

Last night, I had a dream I wasn’t in. This happens to me every so often. It’s kind of like watching a movie in my sleep, only it makes no sense and sometimes I wake up screaming.

Marlon Wayan and his wife (whether it was really supposed to be him and his wife or not, I have no idea) were riding along in a truck with their newborn kid. Marlon was on the passenger side, and the wife was on the driver’s side, but the steering wheel was on the passenger side, so maybe they were in Europe. Anyway, Mrs. Wayan was feeding her newborn, which would have been normal enough if she hadn’t been doing it with an oscilloscope test lead. Marlon started yelling at her for doing it wrong, and took the baby and the test lead (the pickup had no trouble going on without anyone steering) and proceeded to do something (the specifics of which I cannot recall) which resulted in milk actually coming out of the test lead and feeding the baby.
